Whether you are looking for a great new work out, or want to fine tune your classical technique, Schramel Conservatory of Dance offers all levels of adult ballet classes on an ongoing basis. Classes $18 each, and reduced rates for professionals are available.

Adult Ballet Classes

Adult Summer Intensive

Dates: July 15th- 26th

Times: 5:45-8:45pm Daily, Monday-Friday

Back by popular demand with expanded dates: SCOD’s Adult Summer Intensive is geared towards intermediate level students. This program is perfect for those students who want to push themselves in their training and receive individualized attention, while also exploring other styles of dance in a fun, non-judgemental setting!

Dancers are encouraged to participate in both weeks to build material throughout the entire intensive. Dancers who cannot commit to both weeks may sign up for weeks individually.

Pricing: 2 Week Program:

  • Earlybird : $450 (through May 31st)

  • Regular : $500 (June 1st Onward)

Pricing: 1 Week Program

  • Earlybird : $250 (through May 31st)

  • Regular : $300 (June 1st Onward)

Daily Schedule (Subject to Change)

  • 5:45-7:15pm: Ballet Technique

  • 7:20-7:40pm: Rotating Class*

  • 7:45-8:45pm: Rotating Class*

*Rotating Classes may include Contemporary, Character, Broadway Jazz, Ballet Repertoire, Pointe (if appropriate), Mime, Injury Prevention, and Dance History.

Minimum of two years ballet experience suggested for participation. No experience required in alternative dance styles. Contact us for questions regarding placement.

  • Tuesday: Teen/Adult Contemporary: 6:30-8:00pm (Aaron)

  • Tuesday: Adult Beg/Int Ballet: 6:30-8:00pm (Drew)

  • Wednesday: Int/ Adv Pointe: 6:30-8:00pm (Jo-Ann)

  • Thursday: Int/Adv Ballet: 6:30-8:00pm (Lisa)

Drop-In: $18

To ensure that class sizes remain limited, all students must pre-enroll through our new online system.

All Students:

All students must agree to follow COVID protocols. Agreement made electronically while registering online.

New Students:

If you are new to the studio, you will need to fill out or bring a completed registration/release form upon arrival for your first class.

Dress Code

 
 

There is no specific dress code for adult classes. We encourage comfortable clothing such as leotards, tights, and leggings or athletic wear. Canvas or leather ballet slippers are required. All dancewear and supplies can be found at Carmel’s Dancewear in Metairie.

 

Class Protocols

  • All classes must be registered in advance.

  • Morning Classes: Door will open no later than 9:45am and outer door will be locked at 10am (No Late Entry)

  • Evening Classes: Door will open no later than 6:15pm, door will be locked at 6:30pm (No Late Entry).

  • All students must register and pay for class in advance. Enrollment is open until half hour before class start time, however, any cancellations must be made through this website 12 hours before class start (otherwise, you will still be charged for class)
