Summer Intensive Video Audition

NOBT is auditioning intermediate and advanced dancers for its annual summer intensive program. Program dates and information on our summer intensive page

Ages: 9-20

Audition Fee: $20.00

VIDEO AUDITIONS: ACCEPTED THROUGH MARCH 31st (as program space allows)
If you were unable to attend one of our audition, you may submit a video audition to n.o.ballettheatre@gmail.com. Your video should be no longer than five minutes, and include barre work, center, and a variation or pointe work if applicable. Deadline to submit to video audition is March 31st, 2026.

Video Audition Fee: Audition fee still applies to video auditions and is payable here.

Cinderella Audition

Saturday, March 7th

NOBT is auditioning youth dancers for limited supplemental roles in the upcoming production of Cinderella at the Orpheum Theater May 2026.

Audition Date: Saturday, March 7th

Audition Schedule:

  • Check-In: 12:30-1:00pm

  • Audition: 1:00-2:00pm

Pre-registration Required: Register Here

Audition Form: All dancers must pre-register online and then bring the completed AUDITION FORM with them to the audition

Ages: 9-18

Commitment: Extras must be available Saturdays for rehearsals starting on or after March 21st. Rehearsals will be scheduled anywhere in the 12:00pm-5:00pm timeframe, schedule to be emailed in advance. Possible Friday evening rehearsals may be added, if needed. All extras must be available for evening rehearsals at the theater the week of performances. 1 rehearsal miss allowed. No misses allowed for mandatory theater rehearsals.

Performances: The Orpheum Theater

  • May 9th: 2:00pm & 8:00pm

  • May 10th: 2:00pm

NOBT COMPANY AUDITIONS

Audition Date: Sunday, March 22nd

Time: 11:00am-3:00pm

Audition is by invitation only (See Pre-Audition information below). Only serious candidates prepared to move to New Orleans should apply.

Candidates must be current US Citizens or eligible for employment in the United States.

Pre-Audition Video Audition Information

NOBT will accept videos as preliminary audition materials for potential company artists and trainee artists. If the company is interested in seeing more, the in-person audition will be requested following the receipt of video audition materials.

NOBT will review all video pre-audition materials submitted through March 1st for the March audition date. After that date, NOBT staff will only go through any submitted materials as needed.
