Important Performance Information

Performance Info

  • Location: The Orpheum Theater: 129 Roosevelt Way, NOLA 70112

  • Plan for HEAVY traffic. Sunday is Mother’s Day. It will absolutely take you longer to get to the theater, park, etc than you think.

  • Show Run Time: Approximately 2 hours (with intermission)

    • First Act Run Time: 49 Minutes

    • Second Act Run Time: 48 Minutes

Drop-Off and Pick-Up

  • Will be through the EXTERIOR door to the LEFT of the main Orpheum doors (no entering the lobby).

  • All Dancers must sign in at the table.

  • Parents who are not signed up to help backstage will not be able to go into the backstage area. Parents of young dancers may walk their child down to their dressing area to get them settled, but then will need to leave.

  • We will not release children into the lobby- only to a parent/guardian at the stage door. Please come around to collect them, then you can bring them into the lobby after the performance to greet people. Do not tell your child to meet them in the lobby.

  • Please have your child wear something appropriate over their tan leotard when arriving/ exiting the theater.  Our backstage helpers can assist them in dressing. Please have your children wear shoes so that they don't ruin their ballet slippers. Label shoes, etc with your child's name.

  • Dancers only in Act 1 and leaving at intermission. Any dancer who is not in Act 2 may be picked up at intermission (they may also stay backstage until the end of performance if needed). Parents will come to the outer stage door to come collect their child.

  • Dancers only in Act 1 and entering the audience for Act 2. Parents will come around to the outer stage door to come collect their child. Then you will walk out and around to re-enter the theater where they will scan your dancer's ticket. Remember, any dancer entering the theater for Act 2 must have a ticket. Dancers in Act 2 cannot watch any portion of the performance.

  • There is no entering or exiting the building during the performance: only during the scheduled drop off time, intermission, or after the performance. Act 1 Run Time: 49 Minutes. Act 2 Run Time: 48 Minutes.
